摘 要:
Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic and relapsing inflammatory skin disease closely associated with immune dysregulation, inflammatory responses, and skin barrier dysfunction. Resveratrol possesses antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. However, its poor aqueous solubility, low bioavailability, and limited chemical stability restrict its practical applications. Therefore, this study integrates findings from two relevant studies to investigate the therapeutic effects of resveratrol nanoformulations on AD and their potential underlying mechanisms. Resveratrol-loaded nanoemulgel (RES-NEG) increased the local retention of resveratrol in the skin, ameliorated AD skin symptoms and histopathological changes, and reduced inflammatory cytokines and high mobility group box 1 (HMGB1)-related inflammatory signaling. On the other hand, CO60, a type of ethoxylated hydrogenated castor oil (EHCO), and hydrogenated lecithin (S10) were used to prepare a resveratrol nanoformulation (RSV-CO60@S10) using a solvent-free method. RSV-CO60@S10 maintained the antioxidant activity of resveratrol and reduced intracellular oxidative stress. In AD mice, RSV-CO60@S10 also ameliorated skin symptoms, reduced immunoglobulin E (IgE) levels, and decreased epidermal thickening. Overall, resveratrol nanoformulations can improve the delivery properties of resveratrol and ameliorate AD through their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, demonstrating their potential for the treatment of atopic dermatitis.
