摘 要: Pluronic F-127 (F127) is a tri-block copolymer of poly (ethylene oxide)- poly (propylene oxide)-poly (ethylene oxide) (PEO-PPO-PEO). The
hydrophilic ethylene oxide and the hydrophobic propylene oxide give F127 an amphiphilic structure. F127 has sol-gel transition temperature (Tsol-gel) at near physiological temperature, that is, it is in solution state at room temperature, and transfer to gel state around human body temperature.
Thus, F127 could be a promising material for different applications comprising the variety field. The F127 composite thermo-sensitive
hydrogels, which is made from F127 and other biomaterials, was investigated in this study on its thermo-sensitive behavior, biocompatibility,
and biomedical applications. At 37℃ the tube inversion method indicated the formation of a stable gel of F127 composite thermo-sensitive hydrogels, and return back to the solution state at room temperature. The cell viability and live/dead assay showed low cytotoxicity of the F127 composite
thermo-sensitive hydrogels, which presents the excellent compatibility property of hydrogels. The drug release profiles revealed the composite
hydrogels with F127 could prolong the retention time of drug, and sustain the drug release, the reason might be that the thermo-sensitive hydrogels lead to the formation of “depot” at the specific site. Briefly, the F127 composite thermo-sensitive hydrogels have great potential used in tissue
engineering, cancer therapy, and drug delivery system.
