本實驗室以生物製程為核心，致力於結合應用微生物技術與發酵工程，嘗試解決食品科學、農業副產物與生質能源領域的關鍵難題。我們希望探討生物精煉 (Biorefinery) 的架構設計，再透過精準控制發酵條件與反應器，將農業與海洋資材轉化為高價值的產物。目前核心的研究目標包含：
- 生物燃料開發 (持續推進生質乙醇與前瞻生質燃料的產能提升技術)
- 生物精煉設計 (以海藻與農業副產物為生物質，設計高價值的生物精煉製程)
- 應用微生物發酵產物於食品領域

Our laboratory is dedicated to combining applied microbiology and fermentation technologies to address key challenges in food science, agricultural by-product, and bioenergy. We focus on designing innovative biorefinery systems to transform agricultural and marine bioresources into high-value products through the precise control of fermentation conditions and bioreactor operations.
Our main research objectives include:
- Biofuel Development (Advancing fermentation strategies and throughput enhancement technologies for bioethanol and advanced biofuels)
- Biorefinery Design (Establishing high-value biorefinery processes utilizing seaweed and agricultural by-products as sustainable feedstocks)
- Applying microbial fermentation products to food innovation
