Atopic dermatitis (AD) is an allergic skin disease accompanied by chronic inflammation that is characterized by severe itching, redness, dryness, and eczematous skin lesions and is associated with high serum level of immunoglobulin (Ig)E. Although the pathogenesis of AD is not fully understood, it is known to be caused by immune dysregulation resulting from the complex interaction of environmental and genetic
