Asthma is one allergic disease, and it is defined as an allergen mediated airway inflammatory disease, and among the most common affliction in the world, characterized by a shift toward local and systemic Th2 responses. This typically results in systemic allergic sensitization, reflected by an increase in IgE levels, and Th2‐type eosinophilic airway inflammation. In patients with severe allergic asthma, airway hyper reactivity (AHR), mucus hypersecretion, and compromised airway function lead to an impaired quality of life. Due to the high morbidity and the limitations of existing asthma treatments, innovative action is needed against allergic responses for better control the disease. Probiotics can to stimulate the immune system compounds secreted or present in the cellular barrier. Thus, their use is considered a nonspecific adjuvant of the innate immune response, helping the body’s defenses to promote a suitable immune response depending on pathological condition and restore the balance between pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines secreted by activated immune cells. For this reason, the probiotics have a beneficial effect for the treatment of a variety of chronic diseases, among them, allergic asthma
